Abortion Pill Reversal (APR)
The abortion pill reversal procedure can occur after the first dose of a medical abortion (mifepristone/RU-486) is taken orally. It is ineffective if the second set of pills (misoprostol) have been taken. Time is of the essence to start the reversal protocol preferably within 24 hours of taking mifepristone (first pill). There have been some reports stating successful reversals when treatment was started within 72 hours of taking the first abortion pill. Contact Woman to Woman Health Center immediately by phone to schedule a time to come in to start APR. After normal business hours contact the Abortion Pill Reversal Helpline at 1-877-558-0333.
Woman to Woman Health Center does not perform abortions; however, we believe your care and well-being is very important, and it is imperative every woman has a check-up after any abortion procedure to ensure you are experiencing a healthy recovery. If your provider does not offer an essential follow-up visit, please contact our office by phone, or schedule an appointment online.
Sonography, or ultrasound, is a non-invasive diagnostic imaging tool that generates images of your internal organs using sound wave technology. Sonography is a safe and painless imaging test.
Our trained professionals at Woman to Woman Health Center use ultrasound to:
· Confirm pregnancy
· Visualize pregnancy location
· Determine if you are having more than one baby
· Assess the growth and positioning of your baby
· Evaluate your uterus and placenta
· Perform Diagnostic Ultrasound for pregnancy complications, such as an ectopic pregnancy
· Investigate gynecological conditions for diagnosis and treatment
Our top priority at Woman to Woman Health Center is the health and safety of our patients, our staff and the communities we all share.
We have an alternative appointment option we can offer to our patients. Instead of an in-office appointment for the provider to address your concern, we are now scheduling virtual visits where the provider will connect with you through audio and video on your computer or smart device, like a smartphone or tablet.
Not all visits are eligible for telemedicine. If you are interested or would like to schedule a telemedicine visit, please call us at 972-636-4460, or request a telemedicine visit online.
